Wire Cutters
Also known as diagonal-cutting pliers.
A tapered head fits more easily in tight spaces but is less durable than an oval head.
Cut profile refers to the amount of pinch left on the tip of the wire after it has been cut. Pointed cutters produce a deeply pointed, pinched end. Use for electrical and general applications. Semiflush cutters are the most widely used for electronics assembly and produce a slightly pointed, pinched end. They are generally more accurate than pointed-cut tools. Flush cutters produce a cut with virtually no pinch, creating clean connections for easy soldering. Flush-cut tools don’t last as long as pointed and semiflush.
Ultra grip is made of hard and soft materials for the most comfortable grip.
Spring-assisted jaws open automatically when you release the handles. Oval-head ultra-grip pliers with spring-assisted jaws allow you to engage and disengage the feature.
Cutters with wire catch hold cut wire.

Anti-Glare Wire Cutters
The black anodized finish prevents glare that can interfere with precision work under bright light and magnification. These tools have spring-assisted jaws that open automatically when you release the handles. The grip is made of hard and soft materials for comfort. Also known as diagonal-cutting pliers.
Tip-cutting tools allow precise cutting from above.

Static-Control Wire Cutters with Carbide Blades
Tungsten carbide cutting edges are bonded to the jaws for long life. The grips drain static from your application, preventing buildup from electrostatic discharge (ESD) that can damage sensitive equipment. These cutters have spring-assisted jaws that open automatically when you release the handles. Also known as diagonal-cutting pliers.
Tip-cutting tools allow precise cutting from above.

Ultra grip is made of hard and soft materials for a more comfortable grip than cushion style.
Static dissipative tools divert static faster than antistatic tools.

Electrical-Insulating Wire Cutters
These cutters have insulated grips to protect against accidental contact with live electrical circuits. They are tested to 1,000 volts to meet IEC 60900 and ASTM F1505. Cutters produce a deeply pointed, pinched end on the tip of the wire. Use for electrical and general applications. The finger guards prevent your fingers from slipping off the handle and making contact with the jaws. Also known as diagonal-cutting pliers.
